Meroil has set up the largest receiving and distributing terminal of petroleum products on the Spanish coastline and the second on the peninsular. It has the most advanced management, quality and environmental protection systems.
Construction work on the Barcelona Terminal commenced in May 2003 and was completed in record time. The first phase was launched in October 2004 and the second, two years later, in October 2006 up to the completion of the present storage capacity.

At this Terminal fuels for the company’s own use are stored. Storage space is also rented to third parties and is also used for the storage of strategic stocks.
Meroil’s loading terminal is installed with the most advanced security, manipulation and fuel control systems and has obtained quality certificates for treatment, for product management and for environmental measures.
