An international action that promotes the use of renewable fuels in transport

On 25 March, the Tour d’Europe was presented in Madrid. This initiative, promoted by the Plataforma para los Combustibles Renovables (Platform for Renewable Fuels), will visit different European cities with vehicles powered by renewable fuels. The goal of this route is to demonstrate, under real conditions of use, the viability and efficiency of biofuels as an immediate, accessible solution to decarbonise transport.

At Meroil, we support this initiative, which aims to break down the myths that still persist about renewable fuels, and to provide visibility to their capacity to be integrated into current infrastructure without the need to wait for future technological developments. At a key moment for working towards an inclusive energy transition, this initiative demonstrates the value of choosing a technology-neutral approach that leverages all available tools to reduce CO₂ emissions.

The Tour d’Europe includes stops in different strategic European cities, where events will be held with the public, institutional representatives and the media. The goal: open a constructive dialogue about the advantages of biofuels and their essential role in more sustainable, efficient transport.

At Meroil, we believe in a future where there is space for all renewable energies. That is why we are supporting this European route which will take the message of sustainability on the road.
